Description:
The Equichek-SAA test is a rapid 10 min whole blood test to measure SAA levels either visually, to get a range from color chart, or with the cube reader, to get a number result using a cube reader and an RFID card standard curve (corresponding to the lot #). The Cube Reader requires three (3) batteries CR 2032 Lithium 3V.

Serum Amyloid A (SAA) is produced when there is inflammation or infection. SAA monitoring is very useful as part of a routine health check, when there is suspicion of infection, monitoring recovery after antibiotics, or overexertion and muscle inflammation. Often there are no obvious signs, but a problem may be brewing.
SAA test shows a much greater and faster response than fibrinogen or blood count.
The test is based on Lateral Flow principles where the concentration of the sample is determined by the intensity of the test lines.
The cassette has four lines – 3 test levels and one control. A control line must always be present in a properly functioning cassette. If the control line is absent, the result is not valid.

The kit includes 5 or 10 test cassettes, 5 or 10 sample applicators and 1 bottle push buffer.
The kit does not include blood collection tubes, syringes, or needles. These items must be purchased separately if needed.
