Quick P4 Equine is the beginning of a Revolution in On-site Progesterone Analysis for Equines.
A Diagnostic Cube Reader Machine is programmed with sophisticated calculations (similar to those used in Automated Radio-Immuno Assay Machines).
√ Progesterone Numbers (ng/mL) for Equine Plasma in 15 minutes.
√ Room Temperature Stable
√ Shelf Life 1-2 yrs
√ Quick P4 measures only progesterone ( & NOT any synthetic progesterone Regumate).
√ Avoid excess Regumate Supplementation - by knowing the Progesterone
To maintain a healthy pregnancy, ~ 4+ ng/ml progesterone is required. Measuring progesterone helps determine where the mare is in her cycle and allows planning most effective reproductive program.
Knowing the progesterone number allows
√ Diagnosis of a functional or persistent corpus luteum (CL)
√ Effective use of prostaglandin or progesterone treatment
√ Monitoring the progesterone during pregnancy
For the ~ first 90 days of the pregnancy, progesterone is produced by the CL (corpus luteum) in the ovary. Later in the pregnancy progesterone is produced from the placenta.

It is very important to measure Foal IgG levels soon after birth (12-24 hrs old).
Up to 20% of Newborn Foals have partial or total failure of IgG passive transfer from the mare due to premature lactation, malabsorption, or low IgG levels in the mare’s colostrum.
Healthy Foals' IgG levels can be much greater than 800 mg/dL
√ Get On-site, accurate IgG numbers in 10 min, 10-2700 mg/dL
using a small Cube reader and Calibration Card
√ 100% Specificity, Sensitivity for Equine IgG
√ No Refrigeration (environmentally friendly)
√ 2+ yr Shelf Life
The Cube Reader with the Calibration card calculates the IgG concentration based on the Test and Control Line intensities.
The Calibration Card includes a Lot-specific Standard Curve with 5-10 standards.
Equine SAA-Chek is a rapid whole blood test to measure Serum Amyloid A (SAA) levels quantitatively in 10 minutes using a Cube Reader and Calibration Card.
SAA is produced when there is inflammation or infection.
SAA levels in the blood rise faster than other indicators & provide early warning to prevent more serious illness.
√ Number Results in 10 Minutes with 10 μL whole blood
√ Room Temperature Stable
√ 2 yr Shelf Life
√ SAA levels 0 - 9,000 μg/ml
Often there are no Visible Signs (No fever, or high white blood cell count).
SAA levels fall quickly in response to treatment.
Thus, SAA levels can be used to monitor success of treatment.
√ Monitor SAA levels in Newborn foals
√ Monitor SAA levels before competition
√ Monitor SAA levels after shipping
√ Monitor SAA levels during treatment
