Immuno-Chek G™ Calf IgG VISUAL

IgG levels of all calves should be measured after first suckling (between 24-48 hours old).

Calves are born with no circulating antibodies (IgG) and must receive adequate antibodies from the cow's colostrum. Up to 40% of newborn calves have low IgG levels, placing them at high risk for infection, serious illness, or death.

Low IgG may result from premature lactation, poor suckling, malabsorption, or low-quality colostrum. The Immuno-Chek G™ IgG test is a point of care test that measures whether a calf’s IgG level is normal, low, or very low.

  • Results in 10 minutes
